Procedures
Fuel Authorisation
If you are a fuel manufacturer, importer or distributor and wish to apply for
authorisation, please download the procedure from the link below, then apply directly to AEA Energy & Environment
or, if you prefer, to Defra and the Devolved Administrations:
Appliance Exemption
If you are an appliance manufacturer, importer or distributor and wish to apply for
exemption, please download the procedure from the link below, then apply using the online application form, which allows you
to submit an application and upload documents relating to your application.

If you would prefer, applications may be made by email or post. Applications can be sent directly to AEA Engergy & Environment
or, if you prefer, to Defra and the Devolved Administrations, who normally forward applications to AEA Engergy & Environment. Contact details are provided below:
